Frankfurt Airport Terminal 3
Frankfurt Airport Terminal 3 is an airport development project including new terminals, runways, and support facilities in order to increase passenger capacity and operational efficiency. Frankfurt Airport Terminal 3 is one of the largest aviation infrastructure investments developed to meet the increasing passenger traffic of Frankfurt, one of Europe’s busiest airports. The terminal has been designed as a high-capacity and modular structure, particularly intended to serve long-haul and transfer-focused flights.

Unlike the existing terminals, Terminal 3 has been conceived as an entirely new airport district. The main terminal building has been designed with spacious check-in halls, centralized security areas, and highly efficient passenger flow systems. The pier structures are equipped with boarding bridges suitable for wide-body aircraft and flexible gate layouts.

The standout features of the project:

Phased growth model: gradual capacity increase depending on demand

High operational efficiency: optimized passenger and baggage flows

Long-haul flight focus: infrastructure for wide-body aircraft

Modern passenger experience: extensive commercial areas, dining, and resting spaces

With the commissioning of Terminal 3, Frankfurt Airport’s total passenger capacity will increase significantly; its position as a global aviation transfer hub between Europe, Asia, and the Americas will be further strengthened. The project is positioned as a strategic terminal investment shaping the coming decades of Frankfurt’s international transportation infrastructure.
